{"id":2742,"date":"2023-11-21T14:47:48","date_gmt":"2023-11-21T04:17:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/help.interfy.com.au\/?post_type=ht_kb&#038;p=2742"},"modified":"2025-07-24T13:33:17","modified_gmt":"2025-07-24T04:03:17","slug":"setting-up-sub-job-integration","status":"publish","type":"ht_kb","link":"https:\/\/help.interfy.com.au\/index.php\/knowledge-base\/setting-up-sub-job-integration\/","title":{"rendered":"Setting up Sub Job Integration for Quickbooks online"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>If \u2018Sub Jobs\u2019 are used in a Procore project, you need to complete the mapping as described below every time a new project is created.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Note: This is why we recommend the standard cost codes so that you can automate the cost mappings at the sub-jobs level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To re-use standard cost codes in the Procore Project:<a href=\"https:\/\/help.interfy.com.au\/index.php\/knowledge-base\/how-to-re-use-standard-cost-code-in-procore-subjob\/\"> <u>please read the tutorial here<\/u>.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Requirements to fulfill in order to get the sub job working:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Establish Sub Job mapping in OneCore<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sub Job Cost Codes<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Expense Mapping ( Account \/ Item )<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Revenue Mapping<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Establish Sub Job mapping in OneCore<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In OneCore, to monitor sub-jobs effectively, it is necessary to establish a third-level sub-customer within QuickBooks&#8217; second-level customer (project) structure. The best practice is to use cost codes from your standard cost codes list (where possible) so that mapping is straightforward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To re-use standard cost codes in the Procore Project:<a href=\"https:\/\/help.interfy.com.au\/index.php\/knowledge-base\/how-to-re-use-standard-cost-code-in-procore-subjob\/\"> please read the tutorial here.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mapping needs to occur for both expense and revenue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sub Job Expense Mapping (Account \/ Item)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In this example, we will be demonstrating how to establish the Expense Account mapping. button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><div class=\"open_grepper_editor\" title=\"Edit &amp; Save To Grepper\"><\/div><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select the Sub Job from the drop-down list.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If Standard Cost Codes were used to create the sub-job cost code list, press  &#8216;Auto Map From Standard Cost Code for Selected Sub Job&#8217;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Alternatively, if there are multiple Sub Jobs that need to have cost codes mapped, press &#8216;Auto Map from Standard Cost Code for All Projects&#8217;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If there are sub-job-specific cost codes, these will need to be mapped individually by selecting the &#8216;Unmapped Cost Codes&#8217; button<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select the Sub Job from the drop-down list.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If Standard Cost Codes were used to create the sub-job cost code list, press  &#8216;Auto Map From Standard Cost Code for Selected Sub Job&#8217;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Alternatively, if there are multiple Sub Jobs that need to have cost codes mapped, press &#8216;Auto Map from Standard Cost Code for All Projects&#8217;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If there are sub-job-specific cost codes, these will need to be mapped individually by selecting the &#8216;Unmapped Cost Codes&#8217;
